My big fat Guantánamo confession

"I did it all. It was me, me, me!" So says Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in his absolutely uncoerced "confession" that has been released by US authorities to prove that their detainees at Guantánamo Bay are indeed evildoers. I guess none of this needs to be secret then. Among other things Mohammed claimed credit for:

The planning and execution of 9/11 from A to Zed.

Being in command of al-Qaeda's foreign operations

Running al-Qaeda's bio weapons cell and planning for dirty bomb ops on American soil

Responsibility for the failed operation by Bromley's own shoe bomber Richard Reid

Responsibility for the Bali bombing

Responsibility for an unrealised second wave attacks after 9/11: California; Chicago; Washington; Empire State, NY

Responsibility for operations to destroy American vessels in the Hormuz, Gibraltar, and Singapore

Responsibility for planning an operation to destroy Panama Canal

Responsibility for planning the assassination of ex-US presidents, including Carter and Clinton

Responsibility for planning operation to destroy Heathrow, Canary Wharf and Big Ben

Partial responsibility for an assassination attempt on John Paul II in Philippines

Responsibility for an operation to assassinate President Musharraf

Am I the only one who thinks that this sounds a bit like school boasting? If his claims are true it sound as if the "War on Terra" can be ruled a victory for the Decider(TM) and we can all, safely, go home.
