No child left behind

Bush's educational initiative optimistically called "No Child Left Behind" hasn't proved much of success in the United States but I reckon that even American schoolchildren are doing a whole lot better than their counterparts in Iraq. 22% of Iraqi children are not attending school and, of those, about 75% are female. Things don't look any better for the near future either as violent attacks against schools are causing more and more school age kids to abandon their education.
