Old times there are not forgotten. Look away! Dixie Land

When it really is the 21st century will someone please ever so gently wake me up?

The Sons of Confederate Veterans in Florida want an art exhibition entitled "AfroProvocations" removed from a local museum because they regard it as "hate speech". The piece that is drawing the most attention is a work by an artist by the name of John Sims called "The Proper Way to Hang a Confederate Flag". Sims's piece depicts a gallows and the Confederate flag hanging from a noose.

The SCV's request cited a Florida law that makes it illegal to "mutilate, deface, defile or contemptuously abuse" the Confederate flag. Good luck with that in the courts!
