Toxic maize?

A French study (why do they hate America?) has raised serious questions about a variety of genetically modified maize, produced by Monsanto, which was approved for human consumption last year. The peer reviewed study, published in the Archives of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, identified signs of liver and kidney toxicity in mice fed on the grain.

I'm sure that the ever vigilant US FDA will get right on this.
