Today, in testimony before the US House of Representatives, Jim Hansen of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Science will accuse the Bush administration of unrivalled "interference with communication of science to the public". Dr. Hansen, who is a prominent member of the climate science community, will tell a House committee that:
"If we continue on this course, failing to effectively address climate change, we will leave a heavy moral burden, and perhaps a legal burden, for our children."
The Decider(TM) is expected to reply "why do you hate America" and then lock Dr. Hansen away until the end of his term in 2009.
