Alger Hiss is one of the most famous victims of the Western paranoia about Reds lurking behind every lamp post. Now a team of academics, who have been researching the case have uncovering evidence that suggests that Hiss, who was convicted of perjury and served five years, was not the guilty party.

Some folks remain unconvinced suggesting that it is just a case of loony lefties trying to exonerate on of their heroes.
