It is hard to believe that I have been tracking the fortunes of US Attorney General and Bush succubus Antonio Gonzales for nearly a month now and the lucky fella is still employed. This week promises to be an important one for him though as he is going to visit his good friends in Congress and testify before them, under oath. It would appear to he plans to stand by his man, who is himself in this case, and tell the folks that he did nothing wrong. It is unlikely that he will share his definitions of the words "truth", "wrong" and "integrity" with the Congressmen and Congresswomen.
England football manager Steve "I've never really coached a winning team and it doesn't look like I'm going to start now" McClaren's week is likely to be less auspicious. He will probably just check his bank balance occasionally to make sure the FA is still depositing his salary.
