The Australian Attorney General has said that the gag order placed on David Hicks as part of his plea deal with the Americans to allow him to get-the-fuck-out-of-Guantánamo is unenforceable once he returns to Oz. He says that the country could not extradite him back to the US if he broke these terms because "in Australia, we have a position about freedom of speech".
