If they can manage to empanel an unbiased jury, an eventuality I seriously question, the trial of accused terrorist and American citizen Jose Padilla is scheduled to open this week. The government's case is shaky because they cannot bring their most compelling evidence into the case as it came as a result of at least coercion and probably torture.
Let's just project ourselves into the future a bit. Let us imagine that a fair jury is selected and they acquit Mr. Padilla. Does anyone seriously believe that Bush&Co would ever allow this man to walk free from court? If they don't intend to allow this what will they do?
