Apparently 75% of fake bombs carried by investigators get through security at LAX and a slightly lower percentage get though at O'Hare. Now some might point to this as an example of lax security and government ineptness but I think it shows just how cunning the transportation safety people are. Obviously their systems and training are so sophisticated that they can readily identify these ersatz explosives and simply let them through. They have to catch a small percentage so that it seems as if they are trying just totally useless. This will give the evil doers a false sense of security and then when they try to take real bombs through these 100% fail safe systems will detect their subterfuge, they will be stopped and arrested and then sent somewhere secret to be tortured intensively interrogated.
