Hollywood is hard at work on a film adaptation of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials
starring Nicole Kidman. However at least one part of the film will not be faithful to the original as for some unexplained reason Pullman's fierce anti-Catholicism will be missing only to be replaced by something that can only be described as anti-badness.
