The fact that Google altered the logo on its search page to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sputnik but didn't do anything sufficiently reverential on Memorial Day.
And whilst we are on the topic I didn't notice any alteration yesterday for Columbus Day to whimsically illustrate the genocide against the Native American either. Perhaps Google is just saving it for Columbus Day proper and not the let's-put-it-on-a-Monday-so-we-can-all-have-a-three-day-weekend Columbus Day.
