Why does the US Congress hate America?

In an obvious act of sedition members of both parties have apologised to known evil doer Maher Arar simply because he was kidnapped and illegally imprisoned by Captain Codpiece and his minions. Mr. Arar is, as you probably recall, the Canadian citizen who was detained by US Immigration as he passed through New York's JFK airport, undoubtedly with nefarious intent, and then sent to Syria where he was tortured rigorously questioned.

This Islamic evil person had to testify before the congressional committee via video link from Canada because the Bush administration quite sensibly refuses to allow him to enter sacred American space!
