London Mayor "Red" Ken Livinstone plans on altering the congestion charge for driving in inner London so that larger, more polluting vehicles pay more. The new tarrif would come into effect in 2010 or sooner and would mean that owners of large 4x4s would pay £25 (45-50 USD) per day to drive in inner London. I think that's not enough. It will hardly discourage anyone stupid enough to think that it is sensible to drive such a vehicle in town.
