In a move that is sure to anger fundamentalists and evangelicals leaders of the Church of England have made a submission to a independent enquiry that violates the church's previously stated policy that "that life should be preserved at any cost" and says that in certain circumstances treatment on very premature or extremely ill infants may be withheld "knowing it will possibly, probably, or even certainly result in death".
