US government cares about corporate corruption!

In a surprising move it seems that the US government forced Tony Blair into the probe of the deal between BAE systems and the Saudi government for the purchase of EuroFighters. The deal, worth up to 40 billion pounds, may be scrapped as a result of allegations of payoffs to Saudi princes. I am certain that the US actions are entirely altruistic and no at all affected by the fact that US firms could get a slice of the business should the BAE deal fall through.

Related news: in a quid prod nihil attempts by the British government to force the Americans to investigate rampant corruption in the execution of Iraqi construction contracts has come to naught.
