Bombing the farm

Imagine yourself a small farmer in southern Lebanon who is struggling to grow enough so that your family may eat. Imagine that you are working hard to get through the aftermath of the recent Israeli invasion. Imagine that you have lost your young daughter to an unexploded bomblet from a US manufactured cluster bomb dropped by Israel.

Go ahead. Just imagine it. Unfortunately some people don't have to imagine it.

A quarter of the farmland in southern Lebanon is affected. Most of the world wants to ban the manufacture and use of these weapons. "Most of the world" does not include the US, the UK or Israel so a ban will be meaningless.

Not to worry. This is just unavoidable collateral damage in the "Global War on Terra".
