"My language ain't evolvin' no how"

European linguists are to launch a study of the use of the dative case in a number of Indo-European languages, including Icelandic, in order to better understand the evolutionary process behind the development of languages in this large and diverse group.

Expect outrage from Biblical literalists who will insist that the evolution of language is just a theory and that, in fact, all languages sprang forth fully developed at the time of the destruction of the Tower of Babel and the so-called "confusion of the tongues".
