Romney's in - is the field full now?

The 2008 Presidential field grew a bit more crowded yesterday with the announcement that former Massachusetts governor Milt Romney was ready to give it a go. In a year of potential firsts Mr. Romney declared himself prepared to become the country's first Mormon country.

Will all of the recent interest in Barack Obama's religion (is it or isn't it - only his God knows for sure) now shift to focus on Mr. Romney's obscure, outside of Utah, and unusual religious beliefs?

The basic question will come down to is Mormonism a branch of Christianity or not. Some people think it isn't whilst some people swear it it. What is the real answer? I'm sure I don't know and even if I claimed to have an answer my position as an ardent atheist would render it moot.

Irrespective of that I am certain that those who do not wish Mr. Romney to win either the nomination or the Presidency will be paying close attention to this man's theories.
