Turkey trot

It is a good thing that avian flu infestation at the Bernard Matthews factory farm in Suffolk didn't happen before Christmas as the government's chief scientist now has the food industry bracing for a massive recall of packaged turkey products. If nothing else the removal of "Turkey Twizzlers" from the marketplace will make Jamie Oliver happy.

Bernard Matthews himself is keeping a low profile as his company is now accused of misleading the public over the important of birds and eggs from sister plants in Hungary. There had been an outbreak of Avian flu earlier and an exclusion zone still exists.
