Vladimir blasts George's Imperial policies

Russian President Vladimir Putin used the occasion of a security conference in München to say a word or two about his current feeling about the manner is which the US exercises power around the globe.

"The United States has overstepped its borders in all spheres -- economic, political and humanitarian and has imposed itself on other states...One-sided illegitimate action hasn't solved a single problem and has become a generator of many human tragedies, a source of tension...Local and regional wars didn't get fewer. The number of people who died didn't get less but increased significantly."

He went on to suggest that, through its intent to include Eastern European bases as part of its "Star Wars" defence shield, the US is likely to trigger a new arms race.

And who would benefit from a new arms race? The merchants of death (aka Republican party financiers) in the weapons industry.
