Today is US Attorney General and Bush succubus Antonio "Gone-zo" Gonzales's big day out! He gets to journey up to Capitol Hill and talk, under oath I believe, to some folks that aren't all that pleased with him. I am sure that he has used his extra time to prepare a version of the "truth" that will agree with some obscure dictionary definition that he has uncovered and which will bear little resemblance to what you and I think of as "truth". But you have to remember this is a man who doesn't understand that the framers of the American Constitution didn't have to include habeaus corpus as a right because it was already enshrined in English Common Law and they it considered it stare decisis et non quieta movere.

He is quietly keeping his head down and, so far at least, his job.
Both of the early favourites need to be wary of England cricket coach Duncan Fletcher who is making a bold if late move from way back down the centre of the track. Yesterday Mr. Fletcher played a round of golf rather than face the media after England's less-than-lacklustre World Cup performance.
