Las Malvinas son Argentinas

The Malvinas (aka the Falklands) are Argentine. So say the Argentines on the 25th anniversary of the Falklands War which they lost and because of which the Falklands are still called the Falkland and not the Malvinas. Looking at a map it is hard to dispute their claim. After the British just showed up in the 1830's, stuck a flag in the ground and said "this is ours".

I'll just send a query to Baroness Thatcher and see what she thinks.

By that logic of proximity, Alaska and Greenland should belong to Canada, Cuba perhaps to the US or to Mexico, Trinidad to Venezuela and so on.
