Suppressing science in Nairobi

I know I've written about this before but it really winds me up!

The Kenyan equivalent of the religious right wants Kenya's national museum to hide any evidence of human evolution that it might have in its collection. The museum is home to some of the oldest and best examples of the predecessors of Homo sapiens in the world.

I think we should make a deal with them. The National Museum will hide the evidence of evolution if all the churches in Kenya agree to hide all "evidence" of God. So when I walk in a church anywhere in Kenya I won't be offended by the presence of crucifixes, icons, Bibles, hymnals, holy water fonts or any other such rubbish which they might like to present as "fact".

OK? Do we have a deal?
