Are you worried about the state of the NHS in Britain? Do you have concerns about the millions of Americans without access to primary health care or stressed as to whether you will be able to continue to provide health insurance for you family?
Well the US led coalition has finally managed to something of the west to life to Iraq. The Iraq health care system is in tatters and is likely to stay that way for the foreseeable future. High tech equipment gathers dust in warehouses or is stolen while clinic doors remain shut or new clinics remain unbuilt. The US led "reconstruction" has essentially frozen out NGOs such as Red Cross / Red Crescent, WHO and UNICEF in favour of private US contractors who, in many cases, have failed to deliver value for money or failed to deliver at all. All we have managed to do for the Iraqi people in the past four years is to go backwards and the current situation is worse than that under UN sanctions.
