We all know that American, and British, troops went into Iraq and Afghanistan without adequate equipment. This is a problem that still persists and reserve forces, including members of the American National Guard, have been disproportionately affected.
But the National Guard is more than a military reserve it is also a primary provider of emergency services within the US in times of natural disasters such as earthquakes, severe weather and wildfires. It may be the case that the National Guard, in addition to its problems overseas may also be inadequately equipped for its domestic missions.
Good job to all of you in the Bush administration and the Repuglican Congress who have hardly worked to make this possible. One at-a-person is hereby awarded to each and every one of you.
