Things just continue to spiral downward for the British government in the scandal surrounding the inquiry (or lack thereof) into BAE Systems potentially corrupt deals with Saudi Arabia and Tanzania.
We know learn that the Attorney General Lord Goldsmith of the Spineless nixed a deal worked out with BAE that would have allowed them to plead guilty to lesser charges and thereby avoid a more embarrassing investigation into more serious transgressions. The erstwhile Lord Goldsmith initially agreed to the deal only to change his mind (anyone reminded of Iraq?) two days later after Number 10 interceded.
Time to go Tony. Time to go.
