Does Paris know?

In Norway the Hilton hotel chain has refused accommodation to a group from Cuba citing the US laws embargoing the Caribbean state. Norway's largest trade union has threatened to boycott the Scandic Edderkoppen hotel in Oslo and any of its sister hotels as a result. It has also brought criticism from the Norwegian government with deputy Foreign Minister Raymond Johansen saying "these actions from Scandic managers are totally unacceptable".

Other stories of the inconvenience caused by this outright inane and self-defeating law are to be found here.
