"It is called the Green House and it has always been the Green House"

The White House has written a letter. One wonders who wrote it and whether they could keep a straight face when they were doing so. One would think that they must have been heavily medicated at the time as the letter tells us that the Bush administration has had climate change as "a top priority since the president's first year in office".

Do they really expect anyone at all to believe this? If you go to the Green House web site you will find the following listed under "issues":

Budget Management
Education
Energy
Health Care
Homeland Security
Hurricanes
Immigration
Jobs & Economy
Judicial Nominations
Medicare
Middle East
National Security
Pandemic Flu
Patriot Act
Renewal in Iraq
Social Security

Do you see "climate change", "global warming" or even "the environment" in that last? Me neither. If it was really one of the administration's "top priorities" wouldn't it be listed right up there with "Energy" or even the "Patriot Act"?

Oh well, if nothing else, they've put a smile on my face and given me a satisfying chuckle.

Should you wish to read the entire letter you will find it on their website under St. George's Letter to the Treehuggers.
