The surge in Iraq goes forward and so does the process whereby the American government pisses money, potentially billions of dollars, down the drain. What has been the Bush administration’s reaction? Other than eliminating the Special Inspector General's office very little.

- An olympic size swimming pool in a country where access to clean water is still far from widespread
- Substandard materials
- Shoddy workmanship
- Premium facilities for US staff
- Much of it has just plain gone
