I certainly don't feel fine about Israeli plans for a strike against Iran using nuclear weapons. The Times reports that the US would be "unlikely" to give prior approval so Israel would simply strike, present America with a fait accompli and dare the US President to condemn them, as it did when it struck Iraq’s nuclear reactor at Osirak twenty five years ago.

Once the unwritten boycott of the use of nuclear weapons that has existed since Nagasaki is broken who knows where it will lead. We may get the chance, in my lifetime, to view the interior of Pandora's box.
