Do you still remember the good old days when the US invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq were, amongst a myriad of other good deeds, going to bring inestimable improvements to the lives of the women in those countries? Well it may not have turned out exactly as planned.
In Afghanistan impoverished families are having to sell off their preteen daughters as brides in order to feed themselves.
