Bad science loses one

Andrew Wakefield, the doctor best known for his part in the MMR vaccine / autism controversy, has quietly dropped his libel action against Channel 4, which has been ongoing for two years, after a ruling in the high court that he must disclose confidential documents to his opponents. He still faces a disciplinary hearing later this year in front of the General Medical Council at which he could be struck off.

A note of warning to my American friends, the good doctor is now practicing in the United States.
