British junior environment minister, Ian Pearson, who spoke out strongly yesterday about the airline industry's poor attitude towards climate change has been silenced by his boss, Environment Secretary David Miliband. According to a department spokesperson he has not been "silenced" but rather "he has been told not to do any more interviews which might accelerate the story".
