ABC has rescheduled the long awaited debate in which C-list actor Kirk Cameron and "best-selling author" Ray Comfort will face off against two atheists. During this debate Mr. Comfort has promised that he will unequivocally and finally prove the existence of God without mentioning the Bible or faith AND prove that Darwinism is "unscientific" all in just thirteen unlucky minutes. There is no word as to whether he will be mentioning bananas at all. Should he succeed, and who can doubt a man of his faith - er - confidence, I believe that this will mean that Christianity will cease to be a faith and ergo cease to be a religion which will leave it free to involve itself in all aspects of American government. Yet if it ceases to be a religion does that mean that all Christians will instantly become atheists? I am afraid that, should this prove to be the case, that Pat Robertson will take the news very hard indeed.
The new time is 9 May at 1PM EST according to this news release although I suspect they mean DST. Synchronise your watches and don't forget the popcorn. It should be truly unforgettable. I am so excited that I can hardly wait!
