I agree with the Concered Women of America, for a time

They tell us that "abstinence prevents teen pregnancy" and by Jove they are right. There is absolutely nothing that one can argue with when they present their case that way, is there? Then it all goes pear shaped as they try to argue that abstinence only sexual education programmes are therefore the way the go.

The trouble with this line of thinking is that while, inarguably, abstinence prevents pregnancy and the spread of sexual transmitted diseases there is little evidence currently available to suggest that abstinence only sex ed leads to, well, abstinence.
