The Guardian continues to report on the details surrounding the £1 billion in under the table payments to George W. Bush's boyfriend Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia and the subsequent cover up by the British government. The paper reports that following the revelations that it has published this week the OECD, the world's anti-corruption organisation, is to reopen its inquiry into the British government's cancellation of the Serious Fraud Office investigation into corruption in BAE Systems' arms sales to the Saudis. As recently as this week the Defence Secretary, Des Browne, met with the Saudi Crown Prince to smooth the way for another £20 billion arms sale from BAE. I do confess that I am enjoying this. Prince Bandar, by the way, spent a big chunk of the funds on building himself a new £150 million palace. Nice work if you can get it.
