"Bush implores Republicans on immigration"

I thought I had best look up the word "implore" just to make sure that what I thought was correct. And I was right!

–verb (used with object)

1. to beg urgently or piteously, as for aid or mercy; beseech; entreat: They implored him to go.
2. to beg urgently or piteously for (aid, mercy, pardon, etc.): implore forgiveness
