The American National Center for Health Statistics, part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has released a comprehensive new survey into the sexual and drug experiences of American adults. Surprisingly men claim to have had more sexual partners than woman and are more likely to abuse drugs. Other interesting factoids:

96 % of U.S. adults have had sex - the number is believed to be 98% amongst Roman Catholic priests

11% of never married adults have retained their virginity - the number is believed to be 6% amongst adherents of the "silver ring thing"

2% of marriages remain unconsummated
