The Bush White House has gone on a bit of a legal hiring spree as they prepare themselves for assaults on all fronts. As these lawyers will actually be performing critical legal tasks and not functioning as political hacks it seems that the White House has discovered a new affection for big name law schools. Of those just hired "three are former federal prosecutors, three clerked for Supreme Court justices [and] most come from top-ranked law schools, including Harvard, Yale, Columbia and Georgetown." Where have all the law graduates from the Lord's own Regent Law School suddenly run off to.
