Gone-zo watch (day 93)

Here we go again. A key aide to US Attorney General and Bush succubus Alberto "Gone-zo" Gonzales has testified that Gone-zo was "out of the loop" as regards the sacking of the US Prosecuting Attorneys. I cannot value this as a defence. Either he was part of the decision making loop, in which case he should be sacked, or he was derelict in his duty by not being involved in or at least approving of the sackings including the reasons for dismissal, in which case he should be sacked. What doesn't Bush understand?

Elsewhere I find myself developing a new and unexpected fondness for former Attorney General John "Put Some Clothes on Justice" Ashcroft as he has testified before a House committee and directly contradicted the sworn testimony of Gone-zo.

(To be continued...)
