"How many lives do I have left?"

The British censors have refused to issue a certification of any kind to the new video game Manhunt 2. Apparently their actions have been mirrored by the Irish authorities as well.

I am usually amongst the first to demand wholeheartedly any intrusion on the rights of free speech but if the descriptions of the game are correct in that it is based around
"a mental patient, who escapes from various mental institutions, and goes on a killing spree in his quest for freedom from bondage"
I have a hard time disagreeing with the decision. Apparently players get extra points for using especially gruesome methods to dispatch those unfortunate enough to get in their way. There is a certain level at which such "entertainment" becomes completely debased and dehumanising; I think this game has probably reached that point.
