Too fat too soon

The British Medical Association is due to debate a resolution at its upcoming annual conference that associates childhood obesity as child abuse. As one doctor in the article notes there is almost universal condemnation when a child is found to be skin and bones but almost never when the child is morbidly obese.

Should this become an accepted definition would it mean that Texans are prolific child abusers?

Somehow I doubt that this will ever receive public acceptance in America and probably not here either.
