Missiles on stand by

I really don't think that Bush and his minions understand the sensitivity that Russia feels to the presence of American missiles on its doorstep. Perhaps they do understand and just don't give a shit. Who knows?

Whether they get it or not the Russians are clearly serious and now are threatening to target Europe with their missiles. In an interview yesterday President Putin, he of pure soul according to the Decider(TM), said:

"Of course we are returning to those times. It is clear that if a part of the US nuclear capability turns up in Europe, and, in the opinion of our military specialists will threaten us, then we are forced to take corresponding steps in response.

"What will those steps be? Naturally, we will have to have new targets in Europe...We want to be heard, we want our position to be understood. But if that does not happen, we lift from ourselves any responsibility for the steps we take in response, because we are not the ones who are initiating the arms race in Europe."

Thank God that he have such a steady and conciliatory hand at the helm in the United States in these troubled times.

I am now heading to the park to begin the unfotunately necessary process of digging a bomb shelter.
