The not so moral majority

The middle class in Britain is meant to be the bedrock of decency, honesty and proper behaviour. It turns out that this may be a bit less than true as a new survey reveals them to be little more than chavs without the accents and the hoods. In fact they may be even more dishonest than the lower / working class people who they view as law breakers. I reckon that they believe that such things as paying cash to builders & plumbers, padding insurance claims or taking stuff home from the office are "real crimes" like shoplifting or phone snatching. Amongst the worst offenders are said to be highly paid people who find themselves overextended after financial setbacks such as redundancy or the break up of a relationship.

It would not surprise me if a similar study in America would find the situation there to be even worse.
