How many of us know a woman who married a man despite his significant and obvious flaws as a matrimonial prospect but who believed that she would be able to change him? Speaking for myself I know more than one including a matched set of three who all married, and subsequently divorced, the same serial adulterer. I should say that the bloke in question is a lifelong friend.
