We watch with amusement as the Saddam Hussein trial slowly descends into farce.
Yesterday the head judge was removed for alleged bias towards the defendant. He had apparently said, in an earlier session, to Saddam "you were not a dictator." I wonder if the judge would have been removed if he had instead told Hussein "you were a dictator".
Today Saddam's lawyers walked out in protest over the judge's removal. The new head judge then ordered Saddam removed from the court.
This is just going to run and run.
