With all the excitement in British politics and G. W.'s sudden discovery that there were secret prisons after all we shouldn't allow ourselves to forget how well the rest of the world is getting on:
In Iraq all is calm, all is bright.
In Afghanistan there's good news all around.
Although the Israelis and the Americans would prefer we forget good news abounds in Gaza and the West Bank as well as in Lebanon.
In Africa attention should be paid to Sudan / Darfur, Somalia, Côte d'Ivoire and Zimbabwe (which has somehow managed to slip off of the western radar again).
Elsewhere there's Burma, the Philippines, Pakistan et al.
To think I almost forgot Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Does everyone feel better now?
