The village of Saint-Romain au Mont d'Or near Lyon in France is home to the Demeure du Chaos (Abode of Chaos), an eccentric art work. It has been opposed by some residents but now will be allowed to remain in situ.
I think that any village that is home to a "shrine to chaos" is worthy of consideration as my retirement home. I'll bet there isn't a McD's (a plus) and more than one tabac. What more could one want?
