The silly season is over.....

...and British politics gets interesting again. The knives are out.

Since this morning there have been two resignations from the government: junior defense minister Tom Watson (not to be confused with the American golfer) and Khalid Mahmood, a parliamentary private secretary. This is why a parlimentary system is more fun than the American federal system.

Given the state of Iraq (not to mention the middle east in general), the economy and Katrina what do you reckon the odds are that Bush would still be in power today.

Well I've got to hurry out to the bookies and get a fiver down on Blair being gone by Christmas.
